Schools state wide

Schools state wide

I think we should put the earnings back into the education fund from the Hoosier Lottery every year.
Do you remember when we voted on the lottery about 20 years or more ago, The state said all of this money will go to the education fund. It goes to Mitch’s General Fund and he takes out what he sees fit. Our former Governor. Jon Kernam said, it's a good thing that the state has reserves because it is facing significant unfunded liabilities.
When the state took over funding of the schools, they took $300 million away. They said, referring to cuts made to public education in 2010.(This is under Mitch's idea of helping the schools out. It doesn’t sound like a good deal to me). This little piece of info was sent in by Ken de la Bastide - Kokomo Tribune March 5th, 2011.

I think we need to do away with this General Fund. It only helps the rich to get richer.
If the lottery money goes to education, we would have NO closing of schools and NO teachers laid off. There would be plenty of money to help our schools state wide. I'm sure every school in Indiana is hurting somewhere in funding. If I am elected, I would make a Law that the Lottery money stays in education fund for the future of our children. This way, we can have the best schools in the country. I’m sure there are tens of millions of dollars that have been left out since Mitch has had control of the State money. That has to stop, or there won't be any for our schools.
I want comments on this. What do you think?
