Charter Schools
I am not for charter schools. They would like to hire non-licensed teachers to teach our children. Just think your friend next door is laid off and needs a job. He/she could be teaching your son or daughter. The private schools can reject anybody they want to and only take who they want. Then they would get the state money per child, as well as what the public school gets now, but the public schools can't kick them out like the charter school can. Then they would keep the state money and send your child back to some other school and then they would keep the money at the charter school.
Think if the Charter Schools want State funds you need to call them and fine out how much this is going to cost the State of Indiana. They should follow the guidelines as other schools: have licensed teachers and accept any student. Our Governor thinks otherwise. Mr. Clere, StateRep. And our State Sup Tony Bennett, think its OK for charter schools. What do they have up their sleeves? You need to call each of them about this matter, and ask how much of this is going to cost tax payers. Courier Journal paper said, about $300 million. Where are we going to find this money? They are closing schools all over the state as it is, and laying off teachers everywhere. Not good judgment that I see. When I get in, there has to be a loop hole to stop this somewhere. I’m tired of my TAXES going up every year.
I need your VOTE IN 2012
Thanks,
Tom
